<aside> 💡 Note: only teams who have had a Walk Plan Review meeting with a FiR can apply for the grant. Please review the content below and work on your Plan before meeting with the FiR. Creating a Walk Plan is required to receive the $250 grant. Teams who decide to forego the $250 grant can choose to not create a Walk Plan (though you will find it helpful to improve your chances of advancing to Run).

What are Walk Plans?

A Walk Plan describes your plan of action while in the Walk stage in order to find problem/solution fit - the acceptance criteria for the Run stage. This is your roadmap to get to the next stage of the Innovation Pathway!

How does the Walk Plan grant process work?

  1. Once a team is admitted into Walk, they copy the Walk Plan template and draft their plan
  2. When ready for review, the team books a Walk Plan Review meeting with an FiR
  3. The FiR may ask the team to refine the plan. Once the requested changes are made, the team shares the updated version with the same FiR. Reviewing revisions should be possible asynchronously, but another Review meeting could be booked if desired.
  4. Once the FiR decides the plan is complete, they will submit it on the team’s behalf.
  5. Innovate@BU staff will review the plan. Staff reserves the right to request further modifications before approval.
  6. Upon final approval, the team will be paid $250
