• Signing up means committing to coming to the event: Putting your name in the signup sheet for an investment panel or application interview means that you are committing to showing up to pitch at your chosen time. You must show up for your assigned time. If you do not know if you can make the time that you chose, do not put your name in the sheet. You must give our team 24 hours notice if you have any issues with attending the panel.
  • No-show definition & consequences: A no-show is when a student fails to attend an application interview or investment panel OR cancels within 24 hours of the investment panel or application interview. Consequences for no shows:
    • First time no show: a warning will be sent to the student describing our expectations and reminding them of their commitment to the no-show policy
    • Second time no show: the student will not be allowed to participate in investment panels or application interviews for the semester; if they wish to participate in an investment panel or application interview again in the future, they must provide a written explanation of what happened along with a specific set of next steps they will take to ensure they are on-time to an event in the future.
  • Emergencies: Please remember that if you do not show up, you’ve taken the opportunity to pitch from another student. That said, we understand that emergencies can happen (e.g. you are sick, injured, or something sudden happens to prevent you from attending). Please do your best to contact us as soon as possible if there is an emergency that will prevent you from attending.
